My Venture Diary — What Makes A Good Team?

The question I dislike the most during a job interview is always, “Do you prefer working with others or alone?” To me, unless you’re an independent freelancer who can handle everything from marketing and sales to accounting and legal documents, you have to work with others. It’s not about whether you prefer it or not — you simply have to do it!

We, as human beings, are built to work as a team. Of course, there are varying levels of collaboration depending on the role in a company. Some roles require significantly more interaction with others than others. However, I believe no one would prefer working alone if they had an amazing, supportive team that always had their back.

We all want to feel included, and this desire has nothing to do with you being an extrovert or an introvert. A workplace where you feel safe, motivated, and encouraged is the kind of place where growth happens — and that’s exactly what I want to create.
