Like most people out there, I knew that reading is incredibly helpful in various ways and that the benefits you can get from it are too numerous to list.
But ever since I was young, I struggled to finish books. So you can imagine that the number of books I actually “finished” reading was probably fewer than the pets you’ve had.
I’ve always wanted to read, but I just couldn’t.
I have a slight reading disorder — my mom and teacher noticed it during my middle school Chinese class, where I’d sometimes write a phrase backward or fail to recognize incorrect words in a sentence.
