Finding the Perfect Mix to Radiate Strength and Serenity

In my quest for the perfect workout routine, I’ve tried everything from high-intensity training to traditional gym sessions. But nothing quite clicked until I discovered BODYBALANCE, a unique fitness program that has transformed not just my physical health, but my entire approach to exercise and well-being.

What is BODYBALANCE?

BODYBALANCE is a blend of yoga, tai chi, and Pilates, set to carefully curated music. Created by Les Mills International, this 55-minute class takes you through a series of movements designed to improve your flexibility, strength, and sense of calm. What makes it special is how it combines physical challenge with mental relaxation — something I had never experienced in other workouts.

One fascinating aspect is that BODYBALANCE classes are synchronized worldwide. Whether you’re in the US, Asia, or Europe, you’ll experience the same choreography and music, creating a sense of global community. This global synchronization offers an additional benefit — if you’re traveling and want to continue your exercise routine, you can find the same classes wherever you go!

My Journey with BODYBALANCE

When I first stepped into a class, I was immediately struck by the peaceful atmosphere. Unlike the usual gym environment, here was a space where competition didn’t exist. As we moved through the sequences — from gentle tai chi warm-ups to more challenging balance poses — I found myself focusing inward, forgetting about the stresses of the day.

One of the best things about BODYBALANCE is its inclusivity. In the classes I’ve attended, I’ve seen participants ranging from 30-something office workers to grandparents in their 70s. There’s no age limit or fitness level requirement — anyone with an interest can join! As for what to bring, it’s refreshingly simple: just wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely, and don’t forget to bring water and a towel. That’s all you need to get started on your BODYBALANCE journey.

A typical BODYBALANCE session is a carefully choreographed journey that takes you through six distinct sections, each designed to enhance different aspects of your physical and mental wellbeing. The class includes:

  1. Tai chi warm-up
  2. Sun salutations and standing strength work
  3. Balance poses — this is my personal favorite!
  4. Hip openers and core exercises
  5. Gentle stretches
  6. Final relaxation

I fell in love with BODYBALANCE as soon as I started, and I’ve never skipped a class after months of practice now! While I’m a fan of all types of yoga, BODYBALANCE holds a special place in my heart, largely due to its unique combination of music and movement.

I LOVE when we reach the balance tracks — challenging yet rewarding poses that show your progress over time. Of all the classes and training I’ve tried, balance is uniquely practiced here! Even though I still collapse a lot (mostly because you need to stand on one leg and hold different postures for a long time, causing that leg to become extremely sore), the sense of achievement when you finally nail a pose you’ve been working on is unmatched.

Different yoga styles can leave you with vastly different experiences. While yin yoga might leave you feeling blissfully relaxed, a challenging Vinyasa class could have you questioning your life choices midway through — I often find myself wondering ‘Why did I sign up for this?’ halfway into a flow session! But BODYBALANCE is a different story altogether. I always look forward to these classes, which is probably why I’m writing this article now!

There’s something special about the way BODYBALANCE strikes that perfect balance in just one hour. You get to enjoy truly enlightening music synchronized with mindful movements, creating an experience that’s both invigorating and calming. It’s this unique combination that keeps me coming back, eager for more, week after week.

Beyond the physical improvements, after BODYBALANCE class, my Garmin watch always tell me that my stress level has lowered, and my mood is always in a better stage — it helps in managing daily stress and anxiety.

Final Thoughts

BODYBALANCE has become more than just a workout for me — it’s a form of moving meditation that helps me stay centered in an often chaotic world. If you’re looking for a fitness routine that nurtures both body and mind, I can’t recommend it enough. Sometimes, the best exercise isn’t about how many calories you burn, but how it makes you feel during and after the class.
